Today, Democrats on the Senate Transportation and Housing Committee wished California taxpayers a “Happy Valentine’s Day” by voting to advance Senate Bill 1 (Beall, D-San Jose), which would significantly increase gas taxes and vehicle registration fees in California. Senator Mike Morrell (R-Rancho Cucamonga) opposed the measure.

Senator Mike Morrell (R-Rancho Cucamonga) announced that he has introduced Senate Joint Resolution 4, calling on Congress to pass a proposed law creating a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in federal prison for an individual that has returned to the United States illegally after having been deported and previously convicted of a felony here.
