CHP Senior Driver Safety Seminar Set for May 17 in Redlands

On Friday, May 17, Senator Mike Morrell (R-Rancho Cucamonga) will partner with the California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Supervisor Dawn Rowe to host a senior driver safety course entitled “Age Well, Drive Smart.”

The 2-hour course is designed primarily for drivers age 65 and older. It includes classroom instruction as well as refreshers on driving safety, basic road courtesy, the impact visual or hearing impairments have on driving ability, and tips on avoiding or offsetting hazardous road conditions.

Some insurance companies offer discounted premiums with a certificate of course completion. Prospective participants are encouraged to check with their insurance provider to confirm this program meets its criteria for a policy discount.
